Ohhh Canada
While doing some research for a work project I went to one of my favorite websites – Wikipedia- and saw this on their main page.Today's featured article:
Canada is the world's second largest country by area, occupying most of the northern portion of North America. Extending from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and northward into the Arctic Ocean, Canada shares land borders with the United States to the south and to the northwest.
On this day…
1887 - Banff National Park was created, becoming Canada's first national park.
Seeing this spurred me to do a little more research on Canada on one of my other favorite (funny, but much less reliable) websites. UrbanDictionary.com which had some fun facts about Canada and Edmonton.
This one was my favorite: Canada - Land of beautiful women, inexpensive hard liquor and polar bears.
Canada has also recently become know as 'The place to move to get away from George Bush.'

I also learned that Edmonton is properly known as the City of Champions because of the five time Stanley Cup champions Edmonton Oilers and the 11 time Grey Cup Champions Edmonton Eskimos (most in CFL). I found one review that said, "Edmonton - a very cool city, less sluts than Calgary, a nice university and better clubs than Calgary"...good to know...espicially the part about the sluts!
Here are 10 reasons to love and visit Canada:
